TITLE: Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of School Support Services/Student Information System (SIS)/Data Specialist
Salary as established by the Board of Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful experience working with data information systems
- Possess the professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with others.
- Organized, flexible, problem solver, and effective communication skills
- Skilled in the use of EXCEL and data base systems.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of School Support Services
JOB GOALS: To support all aspects of the Student Information System and Data Processes, Procedures and Policies,
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume responsibility for attendance auditing components related to the district/state Student Information System such as check in/check out procedures and records, state attendance report balances, enrollment issues and data conflicts. Help maintain school calendars and state system files.
- Provide database communication and reporting support associated with grades, attendance/discipline letters and KY state date standards reports.
- Provide support with the coordination and comparison of SIS for inaccuracies in student demographics; bussing information between SIS/VersaTrans; T-Code auditing and verifications
- Provide SIS support in relation to FRAM eligibility data entry and reports. Support includes food service import/export procedures for comparison.
- Provide support to the data stewards relevant to the standards for SIS reporting comparisons and auditing of data.
- Responsible for data auditing, comparisons and reporting related to: SAARS, growth data, LEAD, CRDC, Safe Schools, EL, GT, local, state and federal assessment programs.
- Plan/conduct training opportunities and provide assistance to SIS support (attendance, enrollment, scheduling…) staff in the schools and in the district offices.
- Provide support to staff related to daily SIS.
- Responsible for staff enrollment, assignments, and access related to the SIS.
- Provide support for SIS, functions related to student enrollment, scheduling, grading and communication systems (Messenger and IC Messenger).
- Provide support in the set-up and management of student and staff instructional and productivity database systems.
- Provide support in the implementation of data security, processes and policies.
- Responsible for rolling, end-dating, and opening school years in the SIS.
- Responsible for granting and helping parents and students with access to Campus Parent and Campus Student.
- Document processes, procedures and timelines relevant to job responsibilities.
